Philosophy and Faith
with Rabbi Levi Mendelow

Course Overview

Join a weekly Text Based Study Group in a classic of Chassidic philosophy, Mitzvas Haamanas Elokus. This text explores the relationship between faith and reason, from the perspective of Jewish Law, Kabbalah, Philosophy and Chassidus. This text challenges us to expand our concept of G-d to new heights, bringing new depth to our spiritual living.

This essay is part of Derech Mitzvotecha, (authored by the third Chabad Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson), which dives into reasons behind mitzvot such as tzitzit, tefillin, prayer, belief in G-d, loving a fellow Jew, starting a family and many others. Five generations later, the author's grandson and successor, the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, has often advised those seeking to begin study of Chasidic philosophy to study this fundamental work.
